One hundred years of Labour

Huddersfield Labour Party 1918-1993.

Huddersfield had been a strongly Liberal area and these records trace the rise of the development of the Labour Party during the twentieth century and include the minutes of Huddersfield No-Conscription Council and Council for Civil Liberties as well as files of the Huddersfield Citizen from 1935 to 1951.

 

 

12 March 1906 Lockwood Socialist Club formed.
